Axis Air Strategy To Cut Mediterranean

LONDON, Jan. 16 (Repter).—Germany is at war in the air on two fronts. Her squadrons based at Sicily have carried out one partially successful attack on British warships, notably, on the aircraft carrier Illustrious and the cruiser Southampton.
