THE BEASTLY WEATHER of the past wook- and upset most of the golf competitions that were to be played. A few of the hardier souls braved the elements and went around, but everything was far from pleasant.

The Captain's Cup competition of the Country Club was postponed one week, as were the first round matches of the men's Foursomes.

They get to the practice area, drop their bag of balls on to the ground and try every club in their bags. Then they wander to the putting and try sinking them from all green angles.
