South China Attack Broken By Brilliant Half-back Defence

ADAPTING THEMSELVES QUICKER to wet conditions and a slip- pory ball occasioned by the drizzle which fell prior to their match against South China yesterday at the Hongkong Football Club Ground, Sing Tao gavo a much improved display to come out on top by three goals to one. LAWN BOWLERS in Hongkong are still active, and two matches were played over the week-end. At the Kowloon Docks Recreation Club, the Northumberland and Durham Association held their annual match, the “A” team beating the "B" team by 8 shots.

At the Kowloon B.G.C., also on Saturday, the Volunteers' Sergeants Mess were entertained and were beaten by 39 shots.

At the Kowloon Docks, a supper and concert were held following the s match, at which Mr D. Kossick ex- pressed flanks on behalf of the Association to the Docks Recreation Club for the use of their lawn and clubhouse.
