About 100 'old Boys of St Stephen's College, Stanley, met at St Franels Hotel last evening to bid farewell to Mr A. W. Hughes, General Manager of the Union Insurance Society of Canton, a member of the College Chuneli, and Mr H. C. J. Asche, Science Master of the College, both of whom are going to Australia.

Dr S. W. To in o short speech said that Mr Hughes had been the Onancial expert the Counell for more than six years, and had served on every financial sub-committee. Mr Asche he said had worked at St Stephen's College for 12 years, and had endeared himself to many gen- erations of students.
