It is learned that 10 cotton yarn merchants have been arrested for speculation and hoarding, and many butchers and meat dealers have also been arrested and fined..

Following a slight modification of Japanese restrictions the river steamer Futshum is to make a single trip to Canton leaving to-morrow at

7 a.m.

The agents Mears Butterfield & Swire said on Saturday that the steamer will make only one trip at present, nothing having been ar ranged for the future.
