and property taxes was an- nounced by Mr. A. W. Fadden, the Australian Treasurer, in the House of Representatives.

Statutory exemption from income tax is reduced from £250 10 £150.

The Increases include one slillling in the pound in the average rate on taxable incomes up to £300.

Properly taxes are 25 per cent, higher than in earned incomes up to £1,200. Over this figure, flat rates of fen shillings in the pound will be levied.
