This, however, was quite up to expectations, but in vn the 220 yards free-style event, wherein Ng Nin and Chan Chun-nam mot for the first time, the thrilling neck-and- neck struggle between these two over the last length and a balf had the spectators standing. The time was nothing brilliant, in fact, Chan Chun-nam, the winner, failed to improve on his time recorded in the heats, returning 2 mins. 32.1/5 secs.
