ROSSELET WINS RINKS FINAL

Brilliant Bowling By Winning Four: Duncan's Splendid Efforts Fail

(By "Wick")

ON RELATIVE FORM, it was by an extreme- ly flattoring margin—20-16—that C. S. Rosselot's eink (R. Basa, Ă. E. Coatos and J. S. Landolt) triumphed over R. Duncan's four (A. Calman, W. Houston and E. Lovett) in the final of the lawn bowls rinks championship at the Kowloon Foot- ball Club yesterday. For the greater part, it was only the brilliant offorts of Duncan that saved his side from complete annihilation.

Forward Failings Again Apparent: Players Finding Their Feet

UNDER A HOT and blistering sun which played havoc with energy, Police and Kwong Wah football teams shared four goals in a friendly pre-season encounter at Boundary Street on Saturday. "With the exceptions of the skips, Rossclet's men were fead and shoulders above their opponents. Time and again | the foundation laid by Bass, Coates and Landolt was only undermined by Duncan. On occasions, far too few to be of any real assistance, Houston and Levett opened up pos- sibilities, but Rosselet, too, like his opposite number, was to be relied upon, and the akipa' duels, which were, perhaps, the outstanding feature of the match, never failed to alter, Local Baseball the situation.
