STOOLBALL, claimed by many as the origin of cricket, is making itself known to the public once more as it did for a while during the last war. During that period-1915-18-use was made of Lord's for exhibition `games in aid of the war of- fort.

Taking its place among other games in the concerted sports drive in ald of the War Fund, which now total near-
