General Urges Aid

Britain Should Be Granted 50 Destroyers

Washington, Aug. 4.

In a nationwide radio broadcast to- day General John Pershing urged the United States to make ni least 50 of is over-nge destroyers available to the British or Canadian Govern- ments as a means of safe-guarding its own freedom, "it a proper method can be found."
