Drama In The Harbour

Woman Rescued From Drowning

Passengers crossing the harbour by ferry shortly after noon to-day were given a thrill when a Chinese woman passenger on Kowloon City-Hong- kong ferry either fell or

jumped averboard from the vessel in mid- stream..

Members of the crow dived over- board to her rescue, white life-buoys and ropes were thrown towards the drowning wornats.

Two Star ferries, a tug and a naval motor boat which were passing the scene at the time also diverted course and participated in the rescue.

The woman was finally hauled aboard the naval launch in a state of exhaustion, and later, transferred to a Police launch.
