The danger of snake bite whilst swimming at the Colony's beaches this summer was exemplified yester-| day when an 18-year-old English youth, T. L, Luckhärt, was the vic- tim of a swimming snake at the 14 mile bench.
Mr. Lockhart, who is an employee of the Colonial Secretary's Office, was at the bench with his father, Mr. H. L. Loctthart, of the Urbani Council, and some friends.
