THE SPONTANEOUS response of the Hong- kong public to the War Fund opened by this nowspaper and the South China Morning Post is wonderful, and in its gonerosity it brings to my mind the success that Henry Cotton and his fellow professionals are experiencing in similar directions at Home. At the time of writing, the Local Fund is over $100,000 (it is only a day and a half old) and in England, Cotton's exhibition matches on behalf of the British Red Cross Fund has reached £14,000 ($224,000).
