LONDON, May 20.—Mr. Stanley Christo- pherson, President of the M.C.C., has inade· a strong appeal to cricketers to carry on during the war. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Club Cricket Conference, Mr. Christopherson said that only the same morning the M.C.C. had been asked by the Adjutant-General to the Forces to encourage cricket in every way, and they were ́ trying to do so.
