THE RADIO SPORTS CLUB did well to inflict defeat on the C.B.A. for the first time this season. In a fast game on the Police ground at Boundary Road last Sunday, Radio maintained their title as Six-a-side tournament close champions of the Hongkong Hockey Association Tournament by defeating their opponents 2-1 in one of the best matches played in the tourna mont.

SIX-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT RULES

The sides were evenly matched in mid-field, but Radio were more dangerous in the circle, and it was unfortunate for C.B.A. that U. B. Souza was in good form in goal.

In saying this, however, one la not unmindful of the fact that the goal that gave the Radio full points was magnificently ob- tained. It happened ten minutes from the end. M. H. Hassan was the man who initiated a

Defeat The Rest At King's Park

THE “Y” LADIES triumphed again in their final game of the season against the Rest at King's Park last Saturday. Their margin of victory was 2:1, and it, might easily have been bigger had they been able to field their regular league eleven.

SOUTH CHINA "A" RETAIN LEAGUE

CHAMPIONSHIP

(By "Rex")

Kwong Wah fought South China "A" to a 'goai-less draw at Boundary Road yesterday, in a rather fast and exciting encounter. South China “A” have thus won the League championship for yet another season.

Tam Kwan-kon and Wong Wah-gay, custodians of South China and Kwong Wah respectively, gave brilliant performances. Wong was the better and the more tested. On one occasion, after going full length to Tang Kwong- sum's shot, he sprang up almost immediately to punch over Lau Tau-man's lob of a few yards away. Another highlight of the match was the splendid goal scored by Lee Wai-tong, Chin Chi-fai, however, was flagged off- side, and the goal disallowed. .

In spite of their raggedness, the Rest forward line nover gave up trying, but so good was the “Y” defence that they were lucky to score even once. The Rest de- fence, however, played a sterling game in the first half, and kept their goal intact when the interval was called. In the second half Miss Marr, right winger, who was prominent among the forwards, gave the Rest the lead within five minutes. She sent in a terrific drive which was unfortunately deflected into the goal by Mrs. Dudley. Two With the exception of Fok Yiu-wards began minutes after, Miss B. Harker wah, who gave a poor performance, equalised with a grand shot. South China halves played a fine game. Leung Wing-chiu played his Mrs. V.
