Summing Up

Summing up the case, Mr. wards remarked that defendant had not given any evidence. The wii- nesses for the prosecution had told a story and although there were minor inconsistencies, he was quite satisfied that it was true. The defendant was therefore convicted.

Sergeant Cullinan said a list of addresses and a letter written to Mr. Taylor was found on Onslow. The list of addresses referred to oplum divans. In view of the name used by defendant to extort money, he asked for a serious view of the ease to be taken.

Asked if he had anything to say before sentence was passed on him, Onslow said: "Nothing."
