SOUTH CHINA “A” RETAIN LEAGUE

CHAMPIONSHIP

(By "Rex")

Kwong Wah fought South China "A" to a goal-less draw at Boundary Road yesterday, in a rather fast and exciting encounter.. South China "A" have thus won the League championship for yet another season.

Tam Kwan-kon and Wong Wah-gay, custodians of South China and Kwong Wah respectively, gave brilliant performances. Wong was the better and the more tested. On one occasion, after going full length to Tang Kwong- sum's shot, he sprang up almost immediately to punch over Lau Tau-man's lob of a few yards away. Another highlight of the match was the splendid goal scored by Lee Wai-tong. Chin Chi-fai, however, was flagged off- side, and the goal disallowed.

In spite of their raggedness, the Rest forward line nover gave up trying, but so good was the "Y" defence
