Yong Enters Semi-Finals Of Men's Open Singles Championship

(By "Tinker")

AFTER ONE of the hardest, most thrilling, and most skilful badminton matches played this acason, K. L. Yong entered the semi-finals of the Colony men's singles championship at King's College last night, when he de- feated C. F. Chew 8-15, 18-16, 17-15. I don't think the superlatives of a motion picture publicity man could do justice to the match, nor could they describe the thrills that closing stages of the tense duel gave to the many spectators.
