The above team does not con- situto the final selection, and a few changes are to be made if necessary.

The display on the whole was moderately good, and .................................... if one took form in this trial as a guide, it would appear that the Selectors have still a problem to solve with the Colony right wing combination and wing halves.

Benwell, in goal for the Colours, got through a lot of useful work, and with the ex- ception of the only blunder he made, which resulted in a goal -the ball was cleared to an opponent instead of into touch -his display on the whole was. superior to Souza's. The latter, though sound in his clearances, was always slow to advance,

The Whites" backs, V, Bond and Datla Ram, formed a better con- bination to that of J. Gonsalves and R. J. Reed, though the last named gave a very sound exhibition.

There was little to chouse between the halves, except that W. A. Reed,

Among the forwards, the Whites' left wing combination of Narain and Partaub Singh was the highlight of both attacks; they showed plenty of dash and shooting power.

neat in his passing schemes, but is not as fast as of yore. The former was practically starved, but when he received a pass he made the fullest" use of it.

N. Whitley, strange to say, has fallen of this season, and had nothing of his usual quickness in hastening back in defence. Though I would prefer Brown, of the Police, as right half, Capt. Hook has caught the eye of the Selectors, and I am certain he won't let the team down. There is no doubt that Bonwell is the best goalkeeper we have, and he Is a certainty, Lockhart is good, but too Inexperienced at the moment. If he keeps up his present form he should make the interport team next year. The remaining players need no introduction, and should walk into the side,
