KOWLOON C. C. WIN SENIOR SHIELD
Recreio Defeated By Stubborn Batting: Army Win Thrilling Match
THE GAME OF THE DAY last Saturday was that between the Recroio and K,C.C., played on the ground of the former Club, and there was a great deal of intorost taken in the game. It was fairly obvious that the K.C.C. would be out not to lose the match, while only a win was any good to the Recreio.
I anticipated that the side winning the toss would put the other side in to bat, and so it proved. Fincher won and sent in the home side.
There was a strongish wind blowing diagonally across the ground from the north east and the temperature was much too low for comfortable cricket.
from the What happened was that there was R. E. Les started Pavilion end, and he found good deal of cut on the shot, and Just before it reached him it swung Gosnuo an awkward bataman to to his left and got through his hands, tackle, as the left-hander, got cutting the left thumb is bit nd lum away several times to long bruising it very badly. But for the leg. The trouble was that Lee though it was no sort of a catch to swing I think he would have had it. chuld not control hịɔ awing which took a straight ball outside the batsman's legs. However, at 9 he clean bowled Zinho Gosano, one of the several batsman to be bowled playing back.
