CROUCHING behind a thick steel shield this morning I watched £2,000 of your money and mine being blown to smithereens in about a tenth of a second-and enjoyed it.

For it proved conclusively to me that our money is not being wasted.

This was the last day of the Ministry of Supply tour and we watched experimental experts proving the efficiency of the great guns, monstrous shells and deadly machine-guns-which last week we saw being fashioned EARLY FEBRUARY in the factories by skilled and eager British craftsmen.
