After Paulsen refused to be a spy his passport was taken from him.. He led to Paris,

LATE NEWS

They come to nyk the War Graves Commission where they can flod the graves of their fathers,

I joined a party of them on their pilgrimage. There were five of us- two from London, one from Lunca- shire, another from Leicester and the Afth from Somerset.

We walked in silence down the paths winding between the thousands of neat while crosses, under each of which rests a British soldier of the 1inst war.

One by one the lads in their battle dress were shown where their fathers lie.

"I Am Proud"

The first gruve the scrlous-faced, sympathetic caretaker found for us was that of a father of one of the London boys. The rest of us drew back to leave him alone,

"All right, boys," he said, turning

As we located the second gravestone in our list, the Lancashire boy sald: "Mother will be pleased with me for coming to his grave, I still write and tell her. -

These lads may be home to see their mothers at Christmas.

be disappointed if their men do not
