FREE FORESTERS Club Collapse In Second Innings: Fine Display Of Hitting
THE WEATHER over the holidays has been as perfect as any I remember for over a quarter of a century. Once more beautiful sunshine smiled upon the first day of the Club v. Free Foresters match, a game that was making local cricket history, as I believe no well known home club has ́ever fielded an eleven in Hongkong,
The Foresters batted first. Grose and Perry came in to face Lloyd, at the Yard end, and T. A. Pearce. Lloyd bowled with a forward and a backward short leg, a long on, a deep square and fine legs, with one slip only. The first over was a maiden but Lloyd would have caught and bowl- ed Grose but for the fact he was on the wrong foot.

AYING before an enormous crowd at Causeway Bay yesterday, the Rest of the Colony managed to hold the United Services to a draw of two goals all, the equaliser for the Rest coming from a penalty. The score was a fair enough indication of the run of play, both sides giving an excellent if sometimes faulty display.
