STRANGE WARSHIPS Vessels Sighted Off Japanese Coast

Tokyo, Dec. 28.

A while warship of unknown na- tionality was sighted in Japanese territorial waters off, Fukuoka, la Kyushiu, at 11.10 a.m. to-day no- cording to the plot of a Japanese aleliner which hopped off from Fulcuoks for Seoul, says a telephone message from. Fulcuoka.

The mystery worship was salling towards Koro Island, from a point 30 kilometres south-cast of Oki Is- land, off Fukuoka Prefecture,

Another strange warship, belleved jeither a British or an American des- troyer, was sighted yesterday twelve miles south of Oki Island. This vessel was scets by the crew of a Japan Airways airliner on its way to Scout. The vessel, cruising west- ward, appeared to be in the 1,300- ton category, but it was not posible to ascertain its nationality.---Domei.
