SPECIAL TO THE "TELEGRAPH" LONDON. Dec. 19 (Router). —More details of yesterday's nir battle at Helgoland indicate the probablilty that British bombers shot down more than 12 Messer- schmidts, "Reuter" learns.
The German claim that 36 British aircraft were brought down is effectively disproved by the fact that the total number of British aircraft engaged was nothing like that figure.
One British bomber alone account ed for Ave German fighters.
