DESPITE A GALLANT EFFORT that carned for them the unstinted praise and admiration of both European and Chinese spectators alike, Ire- land were defeated by China by four goals to two in a first round match of the Sunday Herald Inter- national Cup at Caroline Hill yesterday. Hongkong Cricket Club Beat Kowloon C.C.
