The first vessel to bear the title Royal Colonial Ship, the 1,000-ton Viti, designed as a personal yacht und administra tive vessel for the Governor of Fiji Islands, was launched at Taikoo dock this week by Lady Northcote, wife of His Ex- cellency, the Governor, before a large crowd.
This is the second vessel Lady Northcote has launched at Hongkong this year, the other being the 10,000-ton Brecon- shire.
