Negotiations are now in progress for Jack Dempsey, former heavyweight cham- pion of the world, to referee a boxing match in Hong- kong sometime next month. These negotiations are being carried out by Mr. Vic Hugo, the well-known of the Oriental manager Theatre, with Dempsey's manager, and have reached the stage where if the finan cial arrangements made are acceptable Dempsey will be in Hongkong around Decem- ber 18, which is immediately following the bout on December 16 between Cafe- rino Garcia and Glenn Lee in Manila.
