Paying For Manufacture Of Poppies For Fund
A number of, members of the American community have generous- ly offered to bear the cost of having a suffelent quantity, of flowers made in Hongkong for Armistice Day in place of the poppies which could not arrive in time owing to the dis location of shipping schedules. The offer has been accepted by the Earl Halg'a Fund Committee, which focis that such a practical gesturo of good- will at this particular time is doubly welcome.
Though there will be no public ceremony this year at the Cenotaph, it is hoped that wreaths will he placed there by members of the com~ munity. Those who propose to do this are asked to purchase Buch wreaths from the Secretary of the British Legion, third floor, Hongkong and Shanghal Bank Building.
