CHINESE SUCCESSES Defeat Of Japanese Army In Shansi
CHUNGKING, Oct. 17. (Reu- iter)Reports of success by Chinese forces in south-east Shansi are given prominence in the press here to-day.
According to Chinese reporta, Japanese forces in south-east Shansi, with bases at Tungyang- kwan, Ilokwan, Changchi and Changtse, launched a drive, on October 8 southward along the highway between Changchi and. Kaoping towards Kangning.
