CHICAGO, Sept. 15 (UP). -Following a meeting of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. It was an- nounced that the World Series will open on Wednesday. October 4.

The first two games will be played in an American Park, and the teams will travel on Friday to resume on a National Park on Saturday for the next three games.
