LACK OF CONTROL
Miss Hoahing was both too steady and too severe for Miss Thomson, whose drives often found the net. This lack of hall control was almost entirely responsible for her losing the first set, but she played much better in the secord, drawing her opponent up to the net and passing her. She led 4-3.
Then, however, Misa Hoaling pulled herself together and took the next three games for a match which, if a little disappointing, at any rate showed Miss Hoshing at her best.
The All-England women's doubles by championship wDS easily won Mrs. McKelvic and Miss hita Jarvis, whose volleying proved very effec- live. Miss Clements and Miss Bray had little chance against it.
Miss Jarvis had a further success in the mixed doubles final, in which she and O. Anderson pulled an ex- eltinį match out of the tire against Russell and Miss Honliing, who both tired towards the end.

"WHAT IS A WATT?"
The man who reads your elec- tric meter will probably explain that a tuft is a unit of electrical power... that 1000 of them make a kilowatt.
He may also say that a tutt is far more than this. The watts that you use are the "muscles" that drive the motors of your electric refrigerator, washer, vacuum cleaner and fan. They furnish clean, even heat for cooking and ironing. They fur- nish power for the wheels of in- dustry, as well as light for streets at night.
Building the equipment that makes and delivers these watts, and the electrical servants that put them to work, is the busi. ness of Westinghouse. For more than fifty years Westinghouse has been the pioneer of new and better ways to make and use electricity. Whenever new needs arise, Westinghouse research and products play an important part in satisfying them.
The name of Westinghouse on any electrical product as- sures you of the utmost in qual- ity and dependability.
