An order limiting the retail prices of imported food and prohibiting in erenses in locally produced and Chin- ese goods was issued in # Govern- mnt Gazette yesterday. Imported foods cannot be increased more than 10 per cent. over the rates ruling on August 31. Breach of the order is punishable by imprisonment for three months or ane of 32,000.

Oldest Foreign Woman Born in Hongkong

The death occurred at St. Paul's Hospital, yesterday of Mrs. R. J. White, wife of the Inte Mr. R. J. White of the Chinese Marillme CALS- loma, Canton. She was 71 years of age.

Mr. White, who had been ailing complaint, died after being admitted for the past 10 years from a nervous to hospital four days ago.

Mrs, White was the eldest daughter of Mr. A. G. Aitken, was born in Hongkong in 1808 and was the oldest foreign woman resident born here.
