Saarland Threat No Peace at Expense of Poland

DETERMINATION

REINFORCEMENTS TO SMASH NAZIS

HEAVY SENT TO

WESTERN FRONT

SPECIAL TO THE "TELEGRAPH"

PARIS, Sept. 7 (UP).—Heavy German reinforcements are now apparently being rushed up to the threatened Saar region.

Communique No. 8, issued at 9.12 p.m. (4.12 a.m. H.K.T.) states that the German lines have been reinforced on the front between the Rhine and the Moselle Rivers.

BROUGHT UP FROM INTERIOR

The communique adds: “The arrival of new forces from the interior of Germany has been signalled to our forces."

Heavy reinforcements have been seen arriving along the entire line of the Moselle front.

The Moselle, which runs through Alsace-Lorraine, the two French provinces wrested from Germany in 1918, enters Germany at-Luxemburg's southernmosi frontier.

According to yesterday's reports, fighting is heaviest in the Saar region, with Saarbrucken, the capital, apparently the French objective.
