It Spoilt Their Day Out

Mothers all over London were busy packing up sandwiches recently so that the young-- stors could go out to the parks for a day in the sunshine. They went but the weather didn't play fair. Here are some of them standing disconsolate at the Lambeth Lids, watching the unwelcome rain. And it did rain, as you can see from the Fleet-streat picture below. The horse was disconsolato, too.
