Paris is aiming to take it in and accentuate your hips for afternoon and evening clothes. Shoulders can' go brond with much padding and trim- ming-quite a lot of braid, embroidery, and military epaulettes are to be seen -or remain as nature made them, but your hips should have an outward trend. Madume Chanel, who has put her skirts down to 14in, from the ground instead of the mure general 15in., 18in., or 17in., has de- signed afternoun fracks with narrow belts that go so far as to outline the lip bones.
