London, Aug. 11. A notice that English foot- ball clubs cannot enforce their players to undergo gland treat- ment has been sent to each of the 88 clubs of the Football League.

The circular says! "An in- vestigation is at present being made into the effects of gland treatment as applied athletes and especially football players.

"Pending the results of this Investigation players are in- formed that the taking of such treatment either by injection or through the mouth, is en- tirely voluntary and cannot be enforced.

"This notice must be posted in club dressing rooms."
