SUTTON HOO, SUFFOLK.

THE full story of what is now shown to be the greatest archaeological dis- covery of recent times is revealed in a typewritten statement from the peace- ful Suffolk town of Woodbridge.

!

It describes in detail the treasures-objects of gold and silver, many studded with diamonds and other precious stones-found in the 1,400-years-old royal "funeral-ship" buried on a hilltop at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge.

The statement is drawn up by Mr. C. W. Phillips,

a Fellow of Selwyn College, Cambridge, who has been superintending the excavations for the Office of Works.
