SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (Trans-Ocean).- The Japanese naval authorities have informed the foreign consular corps that the port of Haimen in Chekiang will be closed as from noon to-day.

Entrance to the port will be impossible owing to the position of obstacles being laid by the Japanese navy.

The closing of the port is described as a military necessity. Vessels of third Powers, including warships, are asked to leave before the expiration of the time limit, the Japanese rejecting any responsibility for vessels! which remain.

At the same time foreigners i residing in that area are advised
