Another Raid On Capital

Moonlight Attack On Chungking

CHUNGKING, Aug. 1. EIGHTEEN Japanese planes staged a moonlight raid over Chungking last night.

They broke into the city in two squadrons around nine o'clock, and were immediately challenged by Chinese pursuit machines to aerial combats. Chinese anti- aircraft batteries also went into action.
