the thirst in desert, pursuit by elephants, and detention on suspicion of espionage are among the adven- tures related by three cyclists who have arrived in Japan.

The cyclists are Iranlans, born in India, who live covered 40,000 miles since they started from Bombay in 1933 and expect to return to Bombay in 1043. They have travelled across Afghanistan, Persia, Turkey, the Balkans, Europe, Africa and Uniled States.

They declare that they had their worst experience in crossing the desert in Afghanistan where they ran
