To Bring Help
Newhaven.
A 23-year-old Londoner, Mr. J. Miller, of Honnicker-gardens, East Ham, swam-for an hour in a rough sea recently to bring help to three of his comrades.
They had been cut eft by the tide underneath the second of the Seven Sisters, between Eastbourne and Seaford.
After swimming against the tide until he was almost exhausted, Miller reached Cuckmere River and tele- phoned the police, who called out the lifeboat from Newhaven.
But the lifeboat was unable to get close to the shore, and bafore a smaller boat could de brought, the marooned men had to watch'
