Two matches In the Mixed Doubles Division of the Lawn Tennis League were played yesterday at King's Park, where United Services Recren- tion Club Lest Lodles' Recreation Club 6-3; while Recreio shared the Epoils with Kowloon Cricket Club "B", both teams securing their first Leafque points.
U.S.N.C. did not have matters nlt; their own way and were forced to concede three sets to their visitors, for whom J. J. Ferguson und Mrs., Churchill were the best. These two Mrs. well and players combined Churchill was particularly effective with her volleying und well placed forehand drives. Ferguson was sate overhead and tucked everything at the net nway for outright winners.
Edward G. Robinron, an a fighting special prosecutor, is starred in Columbia's "I Am the Law," coming to the King's Theaire fo-morrow. Barbara O'Neill, Wendy Barry, John Beal and Otto Kruger are principal members of the supporting cani,
Mr. and Mrs. Story were a well-Lawn Bowls balanced pale, but unfortunately they were fully extended by Dull and Miss) Grinths and when up against Gold- man and Miss Tylor had lost most of their sting.
Dutt and Mlls Griffiths were again the best of the home pairs, Duff's splendid overhend work, he took full advantage of his height and chop vul- leys being unreturnable. Miss Grif
ths has improved considerably and was very steady at the net where
in she killed and angle-volleyes! pressively.
