make this gay beach two-piece for wearing over your awim sult.

In a vivid cotton print, or a sailor design in whlic on a soft or royal blue, it will make up- quite Inexpensively, ·

The pattern above is for 36in. chest and 28in. waist,

MATERIALS-3yd. cotton, linen or fine (woollen" 30in. to 30in. width. (It braiding-7yd.' in, to fin.. contrast braiding.) Lighting plastle fastener la 10in. to 20in. length, or five buttons. (Without vextee, one button for waistband only, or plastie fastener for skirt- as above.)

LAY-OUT.—Place fabric lengthways on the table. fold an indicated. Then take a pencil or chalk, and mark along the lines of the cut-out to the measurements given. Cut carefully. Half-inch scams are allowed all over. Pin and tack before fitting or culling further.

MAKE-UP.--Tuke the bolero front panels A & B and pin along the shoulders to the bolero back Cat Hoteles vv: Pin the darts at underarms, then pln sides of A and B to Cat notch v. formint the bolero. Tack and fit before final sewing or machining seams.

If you bind the edge with a contrasting brald, get 3. braid and fold it over the edges, sewing invisibly along inside and outside, showing in. brald on the right side.

Now take the skirt pieces F and G. pin and tack along from waist to her, on one side only at matches vvv. Leave the other edges open. These edges form the centre-front (and opening) of the skirt-the stitched seam should fall at centre back.

Finish with braiding as for the boler round hem and up centre front edges, unless introducing a fightning fastener, when edges should be placed flat on faslener tape and machined close in to "teeth.".

Take the 4. waistband I and fold in two over waist-top of skirt, making a 2in. waistband-join from the front open edges. Tack this and fit before closing pr cutting buttonhole.

NOTE. The open edges should fall exacity centre-". front, allowing a wrap-over of some 2in. to the left side or if you have the lightning-fastener version, have a separated fastener and cut away the skirt fullness from the waist to fit exactly 2in. left of centre-front-or exactly central if you are having the vestee in tho bolero.

If you are making the vestec version of the botero, braid three sides of each vestce panel D and E or finish ns rest of bolero.
