Ileavy prison terms and canings were imposed on two men when they were charged before the Magistrates al the Kowloon Court this morning with larceny, connected with match- ing incidents.
Li lu-ming, 23, was sentenced tof xlx months hard labour and 12 strokes of the cane by Mr. Q. A. A. Macfadyen for snatching a pair of carrings from Mrs. Shek Miu-hing .50, of 23 Jordan Road.
Inspector Wright sold that Mrs. Shek was walking in the Yaumati district when Li went behind her and snatched the pair of earrings she was wearing. One of the wontan's ears was hurt by the snatching.
