THE "China Press" learns that a Japanese warship stopped Shanghai-bound 7,087-

ton Hamburg-Amerika motor-ship Sauerland last Wednesday.
The incident occurred a few miles from Hongkong, shortly after the vessel left the British port.
It was presumably the act of the destroyer which held up the M. M. liner Aramis, since the two inci- dents occurred within a few hours of each other.
A party of officers and men from the warship boarded the Sauerland, which readily stopped in answer to warning flags, and examined the ship's, papers.*
The Japanese remained aboard for about 20 minutes.
A remarkable aftermath to the incident has been the attempts that have been made
