gives."

That is the essence of the dis- course in which Jesus spoke of Himself as "the true bread from heaven." and it is inseparable from His assurance that He will be with us unto the end. The gift of God, through Christ, is

eternal life. But life requires nourishment, and the gift of God, through Christ, is the bread of lite.

Bread is everyday food, and the secret of living victoriously in ilmes like these is the fact that Jesus Himself is our "daily bread." We should bear this in mind when using the prayer He taught us, noting especially that the petition for dally bread follows Immediately after the words "Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven." The two things-go-to- gether, for God's will can only be done by God's people in the strength which, comes from Him auew every morning."
