AFTER MORE than a year's legal investigation into the fortune of Thomas Walker, Scots boy who became Australian millionaire and died 53 years ago, 15 relatives in Great Britain (among them Sir Thomas Bell, the ship- builder, and Lady (Ralph) Verney receive at least £12,000 each from his estate under a decision in Sydney recently. Thomas Walker, a native of Leith, who lived in Concord, Now South Wales, directed in his will that if his daughter, Dame Endith Walker, died unmarried, half of his £850,000 should pass at her death to certain classes of next-of-kin and half to Aus- tralian charities.
