Philippines Chief Justice Suffers Contusion
Baguio, May 1. Chief Justice Romon Avancena suffered a contusion on the head when he was hit by a golf ball driven-by.. Dr. Joaquin Ladro to-day.
The chief justice was playing foursome with Associate Justices Carlos Imperiai, Jose P. Laurel and Manuel Moran. After he was struck by the golf ball, Justice Avancena was able to walk to his automobile and was taken to the Bagulo hospitni, where he was X-rayed for a possiblo fracture. Dr. Facundo Esquivel, head of the hospital, said the chief justice was merely suffering from contuslun. Justice Avancena returned. hon c after the treatment.
