Italy's War Staff
ROME, May 15. Important changes in the powers exercised by the supreme chief of the Italian General Staff are foreseen in a bill submitted to the Italian Chamber to day.
At the present, the commanders-in- chief of the three defence services--- army, navy, and air force are sub- ordinate to the supreme chief of the Italian General Staff, who, at the present time, is Marshal Badoglio.
The new bill is designed to define the relation in which the supreme Chief of General Staff stands to the Chief of State (Signor. Mussolini) both in peace and war time.
